Dear FHS Families,
I’d like to welcome you all to the 2020-2021 school year at FHS. It has been a while since we have seen students in school and we are excited for Sept. 8, 2020 as this will be the first day of school for high school students. I hope you had a safe and restful summer as we start the next school year.
All students attending Fairborn High School will receive a Chromebook, charger and new bag to protect the Chromebook from the elements and potential damages from being dropped. This added technology will advance our students and staff further into the 21st century and evolve the education expectations and excellence for all.
I am excited to share with you the names of our new staff members who will be tasked in educating your student(s) this year. We welcome aboard Ekata Desai - Intervention Specialist, Kyle Todd - Intervention Specialist, Taylor Clay - Counselor (A-F), Kaitlynn Turner (O-Z), Betty Wagner - MH Assistant, Carmen Harrison - Evening Custodian, Sara Ward - Evening Custodian, Alisa Hartlage - MH Teacher and Coleton Hammond - Math.
At the high school, I stress three characteristics: Collaboration, Communication and Connections with our students, staff, families and community members. It is important for all of us to keep the lines of communication open to better the educational experience for all our students and we would like to hear from our families and the community regarding ways we can make Fairborn High School a better place.
Fairborn High School is a place where we need your support academically and mentally for the students so we can mold them into being successful high school graduates and productive members of our community and society.
I look forward to the 2020-2021 school year with excitement and high expectations for all students and staff members. Your continued support is appreciated and we look forward to a very successful school year.
