Fairborn Primary School Mission Statement
Fairborn Primary School, in partnership with parents and community, will provide a safe, accepting, and challenging environment helping all children to become lifelong, responsible citizens.
Welcome to the 2019-2020 School Year at Fairborn Primary School...Where Skyhawks Earn their Wings.
As we begin the new school year, we encourage you to stop in or contact us at any time with questions, concerns, or just to say hello and introduce yourself.
Our school is designed to meet the needs of PK-3rd grade students in a culture that is bright and embraces individual differences, celebrates successes and is relentless in the pursuit of excellence in everything we do. We welcome and promote parents/families becoming an active part of the school as we all work together to provide the best educational opportunities and improve academic achievement for all of our students.
Instructional strategies at Fairborn Primary School are varied and reflect up-to-date research in teaching and learning. We are excited to begin our newly adopted ELA/Reading Program--Benchmark Advance. This program has been adopted by the district for grades K-6 and is designed with a balanced literacy approach of whole group teaching, small group guided reading, learning centers, phonemic awareness/phonics and writing. The program is designed for 150 minutes of ELA/Reading instruction daily and incorporates many Social Studies and Science standards.
As our littlest Skyhawks earn their wings, we focus on instruction and the use of positive behavior supports (PBIS) that will allow our students to learn the skills they need to be respectful, responsible, and safe, because it is “The Skyhawk Way!”
We welcome you at any time to discuss your child's progress and learn more about the great things that we are proud of at Fairborn Primary School!
