Skyhawk Teacher Feature

The Fairborn City School District is starting a new “Teacher/Staff Feature” each week to highlight our outstanding employees. Employees are nominated by their building/department administration for outstanding service to the school district and our children.

To start our week we are honoring Mrs. Debra Yeary, a 5th grade teacher at Fairborn Intermediate School. What makes Mrs. Yeary extraordinary? Principal, Betsy Wyatt states “Mrs. Yeary is a multi-generational Skyhawk and a proud part of the Fairborn Intermediate staff.”  When asked what she does to create a positive learning environment for our children Principal Wyatt states “Mrs. Yeary always has a smile on her face and calmly, comfortably helps and redirects students. She works hard with her team teachers to meet the needs of her students.”  How is Mrs. Yeary a role model for her students? “Debra is peaceful, calm and always manages to have a positive approach.”

Debra is married to Fairborn graduate, Jimmy Yeary, and they have three children attending Fairborn City Schools. Mason attends Fairborn Primary School and Reagan and Reece attend Baker Middle School.

Thank you for all you do for FCS Debra and congratulations on your “Teacher Feature!”
