Demolition of Baker Middle School-200 Lincoln Drive

The Fairborn City School District awarded the contract for the Baker Middle
School demolition project to Mound Waste and Recycling.  The project will begin
the week of February 24, 2025.  As part of this process and for safety reasons,
Lincoln Drive will be closed starting on this date. Information regarding bus stop
and drop off/pick up for Lincoln Drive students will be communicated from the
Transportation Department to families impacted by the project.

Abatement of the property will be first and the demolition of the building will
follow in approximately 3-4 weeks. Workers will be on site daily beginning at
7:00 a.m. through dusk. For the safety of workers and our community, the entire
property will be considered a construction site and will be closed to the public for
the duration of the demolition project.

Once the demolition project begins, souvenir bricks will be placed on the corner
of Dayton Drive/Lincoln Drive each morning by 10:00 a.m. Bricks will be
available on a first come-first serve basis.  Questions regarding the project
should be directed to Mr. Rodney Roberts, Director of Business Affairs. Thank
you to the Fairborn community for your continued support!
