Fairborn City Schools & P-EBT Card Questions for 2020-2021
Who will be receiving the card at FCS? All families with students in a K-8 building (free meals to all students under the Community Eligibility Program-CEP) that qualify under USDA guidelines for days out with in-class learning and availability to meals; high school does not qualify under CEP.
What about high school students? All 9th grade students that attended Baker Middle School in 2019-2020 will receive the card, if eligible under the guidelines; they were in a “FREE-CEP” building.
All students that qualified for FREE/REDUCED priced meals 2019-2020 will receive a card, if eligible under guidelines.
All students that submitted FREE/REDUCED meal applications 2020-2021 will receive a card, if eligible under guidelines.
Is it too late to submit an application? No, but we can only use the date we receive and process the application to qualify the student as eligible; this may help with the rest of the school year.
What about preschool students? Only those students that receive a breakfast and lunch qualify for the card; most preschool students are half day, therefore will not receive a card
What if I have been picking up meals offered by the Child Nutrition Department for my student(s)? You will still receive a card, if student qualifies under the aforementioned criteria and guidelines.
