This past weekend on Saturday, 96 instrumentalists and 5 vocalists competed at the District 12 Ohio Music Education Association Solo and Ensemble Contest at Stebbins High School. We had 26 total events at this competition. Out of those 26 events, 20 received the highest rating of Superior, 5 received Excellent ratings, and 1 received a Good Rating. We are super proud of our students for getting out of their comfort zone and performing at a ridiculously high level in front of friends, family, total strangers, and of course being judged by some of the finest music educators in the state. Side note: Our percussion ensembles both received Superior Ratings which has continued our Superior Rating streak since 2011. Thanks to all of the teachers who are around the music wing who had to put up with music coming from pretty much everywhere so we could get ready for this competition.
