Baker Middle School wins PBIS award!

Baker Middle School has been recognized for their success with Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports (PBIS). PBIS involves teaching students expected behaviors in a consistent and positive way, modeling and acknowledging those behaviors, and helping all students meet expectations and be successful. PBIS has been shown to improve student achievement, student behavior, and school climate. In 2015, Ohio first recognized schools who are model examples of strong PBIS. In 2017, Baker Middle School applied, and they earned recognition at the Bronze level. They are one of 88 award winning schools to be recognized at this level of distinction, and one of 110 schools to be recognized at any of the levels (Gold, Silver, or Bronze). Baker Middle School will be honored at the 2017 Ohio PBIS Showcase in Mansfield, Ohio on November 30, 2017. Congratulations to the Baker Middle School Administrative team and teachers for this outstanding award!
