Principal's Welcome

Welcome to Fairborn High School!

Welcome to Fairborn High School, where our goals are to use the knowledge and skills obtained through a variety of classes to prepare students for life after graduation. Life after graduation will look different for everyone. This could be from moving on to college to using the skills learned and applying them to acquire employment in a trade.

My name is Waylon Stegall. I am the Principal at Fairborn High School. I have been blessed to not only call Fairborn home my entire life, but to also be a member of this wonderful staff since the start of my career. Please let me introduce our administrative team as well. Mrs. Hauberg, Mrs. Mumma and Mr. Issac are our Assistant Principals. Our counseling team includes Mrs. Hensel, Mrs. Bishop, Mrs. Drakeford, and Ms. Ebert. Ms. Franks serves as our Clinical Counselor. We are blessed to have Mrs. Hudephol (former Primary School Principal) fly back to the nest and join our team as the Special Education Supervisor where she served in this role previously at the high school. Together we will work diligently to provide a well rounded education for your child, including academic paths for success, social-emotional and character development. Our students will have the opportunity to build the needed 21st century skills in order to start a future full of possibilities.

Our office staff also includes administrative assistants Ms. Oberschlake, Mrs. Cherry, Mrs. Pressly, Mrs. Riley and Mrs. Hill. We are grounded in teamwork and will strive to provide a great experience for everyone we work with.

As our youngest Skyhawks earn their wings at the Primary school, they will continue to build on their knowledge and skills through the intermediate and middle school years. This preparation, in conjunction with work at Fairborn High School will serve as a strong foundation for our students to SOAR!

We are a PBIS school! PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports. Our pillars of the program are Respect, Responsibility, Integrity and Courage. As a part of the PBIS program, we have established several clear expectations for the behavior we desire in all

areas of our school. We will explicitly teach these expectations to the students and reward them frequently for demonstrating these behaviors. We believe these pillars represent the character desired to be good role models in school as well as the community.

We will strive to help our students become productive members of this great community and continue to build a strong Fairborn. We look forward to working with our community members and businesses in order to solidify this strong partnership.
